Turkey 2

Day off today. Suprised to find that this network allows me access to livejournal.

Past 4 days spent in intensive field survey. Found some really nice rims and pithos handles of red coarseware wıth grain chaff in the fabric. Walked roads to take the GPS points yesterday. Mapping the forest in lab once I get back.

Gazipaşa is prety much awesome. I have a GREAT roommate and the two guys are amazıng and hilarious. There is an anorexic bitch along though. She's a total slut and I don't think anyone likes her. I see this as a plus! People seem to like me but that is in part because I am one of the only strong personalities among the group. The UNebraska group has arrived but there ıis little to no contact between groups.

Miss Andy terribly. Managed to get through on the phone and was bitterly reminded that he does not care one whit for archaeology or what I am doing here. My dissappointment is palpable.

Upcoming week: camping, checking out sink holes, grabbing pollen samples, dendrochronology, more survey.

No one has gotten Ataturk's revenge yet (akin to Mohamet's revenge or Pharaoh's revenge). I am surprised.

Had a dream about time travel. Tom and Rory were with me. It was awesome to wake up and still be 7 hours in the future. Miss pretty much everyone.

Still awaiting the night of drunken revelry that is customary for archaeologists. Soon I am told. Soon. Off to Conrad's for a burger and some Tuborg methinks.

Turkish keyboards are still frustrating to use.
