Don't tell me you're too old for slumber parties.

Sorry. Upper-level curfew issues.

Is there absolutely no way I can get up there? No Karma-point credit cards or something? I'll pay it back...

Not until you meet the criteria, like everyone else.

Okay, whatever.

But you must have vacated someplace before you went up there. Is it still unoccupied?

I stayed with Kazuki.

...

...they threw you out, didn't they?

I can't live here.

Then work on moving up.

What is it that I have to do for an entire month? And does it all reset if I mess up? What counts as messing up?

Behave, work on bettering yourself, and have a job.

What have you been doing?

I've been killing monsters by proxy and exchanging their parts for money.

Well, until Kazuki moved. I was using his traps. Now I need a new job and a new place.

And I think my karma took a dip.

But the net gain was a ninja star or two from the money I earned. I guess I can kill monsters the real way now.

Apparently.

Good luck with that.

I wish it were all about luck. It's more like pointless self-degradation. Is it any wonder that I'm naturally poor at adapting to this place?

I mean, what's the point of moving up if you can't be yourself?

Not really.

Bettering yourself.

Yeah, yeah. Shut up.
