Only me. Seriously.

After spending all day and night working on my memoir assignment for my nonfiction workshop, I arrive at school this morning at 7:45 to finish up and print before class. I hit a stride, when the library wenches kick me out because there's a class at 8:30. Grumbling, I save my work, and walk upstairs to the other lab. When I get there, I pop in my disk to learn that...

MY DISK DOESN'T WORK.

Starting to panic, I walk down the hall to technology services and tell the guy I was using the disk no more than 5 minutes ago downstairs and now it won't open my paper. He tries to work it, but then hands the disk back to me and says "Yeah. It's wiped. Your paper's gone. These disks get old and just wipe out randomly. I guess yours decided to do so while you were walking up the stairs." When I got upset by this, he says "Well, don't use a disk next time."

So now I have to rewrite my entire paper. All 12-15 pages of it. I'm in too much shock to do anything at this point, so I decided to update my journal and bitch about it first before starting the damn thing. On the bright side, I emailed my teacher about it and she seemed uderstanding about it and I can email t to her this week sometime. But still. This is shaping up to be a pretty rough day.

BUT. On an extremely good note, last night I went to trivia night at Sweetwater and my team, the Blue Baracudas, WON! We won a 100 bucks! Go us and our random knowledge.
