I may make this a regular thing.
I just found out a few days ago that there have been several muggings (one at knifepoint) on the main street you walk on to get from Porter Square to my apartment. Since I've been alone there a lot lately, and because I've been getting back really late, I have been taking cabs from Harvard and such. Today I forgot and started walking, and got really freaked out. Its been like a nightmare of mine getting mugged. Ahhh.
So I decided that I should call someone, in case something happened. Steve, even though he has to work tomorrow crazy early, talked (or rather stayed on the phone with me) the walk back. He's such a sweet boy.
Tonight I hung out with the ever-amazing Jon Tee, just hanging out watching movies. We watched Welcome to the Dollhouse, which I saw several years ago, but was reminded how good it is. Disturbing, sad, uncomfortable, but so good. It reminds me too much in parts of my childhood, sadly. Oh the curses of the glasses and awkwardness.
Last week I saw Palindromes (which is out now and by the same director), and it was so good. Everyone should go check it out. I need to see Happiness, so if anyone wants to rent it with me, we should. I've been watching an excessive amount of films lately, and its been amazing. I definetly missed those movie days while in school. I plan on continuing this well into the summer. Also, I have been meaning to go the MFA, the Arboretum, Revere Beach, and many other places this summer. Let me know if you would be up for anything. Its so nice to be able to get out and relax...
Work the rest of the week, but then some quality me time afterwards....spectaular.
