Today, I took out Three Kingdoms by Luo Kuan-Chung. It's totally that epic Chinese novel that Koei likes to base their games around. You know, like every Dynasty Warriors ever. Anyway, it kicks ass and I am so in love with it. I really needed another epic fix after finishing up The Iliad for the second time.

I guess I'm kind of tired of reading Western literature.

I also want to read more about the Sengoku period in Japan, but since there's no epic literature about it, and all the history books are probably gonna be written all cut and dry, I'm just going to keep believing that all Japanese samurai rode on motorcycle horses and surfed on anchors and formed a giant rainbow to defeat the evil Wakamoto-voiced Oda Nobunaga. Maybe it's for the better.

And I really want to get back into the Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series, but I know that I'm just going to be wasting my money on the same game. Back in the day, this didn't bother me, but now that we've made the leap into what is now our current generation game systems, I can't help but be really mad that the graphics still look as muddy as they do in the old PS2 games. I'll just wait for Basara to hit stateside.

Also, I know I'm really slowpoking it here, but what the hell? One of the new Sengoku Basara characters is Magoichi Saika? I used to main him back in my Samurai Warriors days, before I discovered the amazing magic paper of Kanetsugu Naoe, and all I can say is whoah. In case you haven't played Samurai Warriors, Magoichi was a scruffy, pervy gunslinger who'd always be like, "It's all in the hips, baby~", so it's kind of funny to see that the Basara interpretation is a girl.

...I'm looking forward to seeing rule 34 on Magoichi x Magoichi. I already ship it.

P.S.
