Hope everyone in LJ land had a great Christmas and a fantastic new years.
Me? Mine was filled with food galore and what more can a girl ask for? Actually, I could ask to return my sunburn earned in the first day of '09. A day at the beach was great but not so much the sunburn.
What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Moved to London with Stinky.
Where did you travel?
London, Paris, Rome and Salzburg. Oh and Vienna, Frankfurt, Abu Dhai and Hong Kong but they were just stopovers so they don't count I guess.
What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
Direction. I really didn't know where I was going for the latter part of '08.
What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I don't remember dates very well.
What were the best things you bought?
My hat! That I bought in Salzburg. Very much like the one's Kurt wears in The Sound of Music. I will never stop loving that hat.
Where did most of your money go?
Moving to London. And when that didn't work out, travelling Europe until I ran out of money.
What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I'm not going to lie. My totally tacky The Sound of Music tour around Salzburg seeing had me pretty gee'd up. Oh! And coming home! I practically ran through customs at Sydney airport.
What political issue stirred you the most?
Here at home: Kevin 07 saying sorry despite it being decades late.
Elsewhere: OBAMA!
What do you wish you'd done more of?
Worked. Seriously, I was only officially employed to work for 6 months of 08.
What do you wish you'd done less of?
Drinking. I turned into a lush once back on Aussie soil. No more drinking this year for me.
Did you fall in love in 2008?
Not particularly, no.
What was your favorite TV program?
How I Met Your Mother, Friday Night Lights, Bones, Supernatural, Veronica Mars.Think that's most of them for this year.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
Nothing major but I didn't enjoy listening to the Alphabeats and The Ting Tings for weeks on end this year.
What was the best book you read?
The Temeraire series was something I loved something fierce in 08. An achievement for me considering I picked up a book once a year since I got out of highschool.
What was your favorite film of this year?
The Dark Knight and Iron Man

Lugging wheelie suitcases around Europe was a bad bad bad idea. BAD.

Ummmm. I really don't know. I think I took a day off work and spent a day shooting the shit with Stinky around the city. I think......
What kept you sane?
My mini iPod. No lie. It was such a life saver those tough months in London. That and Stinky.
