Take That, Postcard Thief!

(Originally posted March 14 on Dreamwidth. Manually imported)

I've now finished writing and addressing 25 postcards to potential Democratic-leaning young female Wisconsin voters, and if the unknown entity that stole my original postcards thought they would stop me, they were oh, so very wrong. *preens as she puts a heating pad on her wrist and forearm, both of which are now aching like whoah*

(I also wrote a personal postcard to someone who surprised me happily by sending me a postcard. Perhaps I shall start a trend!)

We successfully got Carter to eat a pill-pocket with his antibiotic pill in it. This is surprising for many reasons, and I'm not sure we'll be able to reproduce that result twice a day for the next few days, but I shall allow myself to enjoy our unexpected success. (He's getting antibiotics, along with a steroid shot, because the poor guy has been suffering from the same lower-GI-particularly-the-colon problems that our other ginger cats suffered. I swear, none of our non-ginger cats suffered this problem.)

Our Christmas cactus, which surprised us this holiday season by growing three blooming flowers, has surprised us again, with two more blossoms opening over the last week. It looks as if we might get a sixth and seventh bloom later next week. I'm hoping this isn't some last hurrah before the plant expires.

I'm deep into some true revisions of the novel. I should probably actually complete the first draft before doing so, but that's apparently not how I roll.

I'm sure I had other things to be happy about, but I can't recall them right now. The three positives I've delineated here, plus the revision work, which I think is positive, should be enough, but I were always a greedy wench.
