so i feel like i havent really done a true update in a while...like actually telling people whats going on with my life...not like anyone REALLY cares, we only like reading about drama and taking pointless surveys. but anyway...
so basically hofstra sucks. haha. the people are....long island-ish...which means bratty, spoiled and snobby. and you know i cant deal w/ those kind of people. its no fun. and i actually love most of my teachers and all, but the school itself is a little asshole-ish and disorganized annnnnnnnd its a ghost town on weekend b/c a good portion of the school commutes or lives close enough to go home. so it sucks. but i absolutely love my roommates...kendall is my actual roommate and syd and meg and/were my suitemates. meg transferred last semester b/c....shes smart. haha back to new hampshire. so now we have an empty bed and its kinda sad. :( soooooooooooo in conclusion im transferring next fall, HOPEFULLY (pray for me) to delaware but we'll see if i get in. since i dont have 30 credits (28, close enough) they have to look at all my HS info which is....not a good thing. but oh well, i have a good essay...and my grades are good here...w/ the exception of my D in math last semester.....:( oops. but im still applying and hoping for the best. if i dont get in there im just gunna go to mc for a semester and apply to Del for spring....and ill keep applying until i get in. honestly i really dont mind going to mc b/c it'll hopefully only be for a semester, and i could use a break at home. and i wouldnt have any distractions so i wouldnt fuck up my grades. thats always nice. and i could save my parents some money too.
besides school, uhhhh the dance team is...interesting...it kinda sucks. i had fun at nationals...i didnt necessarily like the hip hop routine too much but it was fun enough to perform. and we got 2nd so that was fun. :) i kissed the trophy and got a MEDAL. (ooooooooooooooo) and plenty of souvenirs. AND i got to watch all those school i obsess over in D1A (the bigger schools like minnesota, wisconsin, cincinnati and such) so that was a bit of a dream come true. and so after nationals i went home...and my coach was asking us to come back two different times for basketball games over the rest of break...annnnnnnnnd i decided i didnt feel like going, or spending the $600 it would take to get me back and forth 3 times. no thanks. so she "suspended" me from a competition and 4 basketball games. so i have to go to everything and just wear my warmups, and sit in the stands and watch. basically i look like either a manager or some dance team groupie....and i think its funny that another girl missed 3 practices and yet she didnt get punished b/c my coach plays favorites. and shes intimidated by her. cool. and everyone else on the team was shocked that shes punishing me like this...and plus, for one of the games i didnt go to...over break...there was a weather emergency b/c of snow, but she still said that anyone who lived within an hour from hofstra had to go to the game. and even though she lives 45 minutes away she refused to go to the game b/c she didnt want to get in an accident or get stuck there. oh. thats fair. she doesnt have to go but its ok for everyone else to go and possibly get in accidents or get snowed in. that makes sense. so we dont like my coach. nope not so much. i wouldnt mind if she got run over by a truck. at all. AND WHO "SUSPENDS" PEOPLE FROM A DANCE TEAM ANYWAY??? dont be silly. just kick me off already.
yeah. i told my coach i have a wedding at home the week of feb 12. but i dont. im going to the pom competition. because im a hardcore fan. and im stopping by delaware (where pj will be :)) on the way back to spend an early v-day lunch w/ him or something like that.
somehow over the course of last semester i lost about 20 pairs of socks. :( i keep washing the same 5 pairs like every other day. i need to go sock-shopping. and undie shopping. i lost some of those too. how? im not sure.
