A brief life update in list form
1. I got my first suit ever (not counting my Salvation Army Pee-Wee Herman suit) at Men's Wearhouse over the weekend. If I had the money, I would wear tailored suits all the time.
2. Liz and I went to the neighborhood clam bake with her dad. Conversing with married homeowners aged 50+ is difficult when your life plans are not normal.
3. I started seeing a writing coach on Thursday. So far I am not sticking to my writing schedule. I am not surprised.
4. I have 3 days of TA orientations coming up on WThF at which I have to do a teaching demo in front of my peers. Bleagh.
5. It takes me 50 minutes to ride to Amherst from my house. I miss driving a bit more than my idealistic self thought I would. If I could just find a way to avoid helmet hair...
6. Liz and I finished consuming season 4 of Angel. I have rarely witnessed screen writing plummet so dramatically.
7. My best friend is back from vacation, but now she lives in New London, CT.
8. Pech's old personality has returned after a 4 year hiatus. She plays or sits on my lap all the time, and she's suddenly not so quiet anymore. She's being absolutely adorable. I think we both miss Zecke a little bit.
9. I got the best haircut of my life by Bill the Barber. Barber shops are fascinatingly gendered spaces.
