freiburg lexbian film days
there's this lexbian film thing going on right now. i'm impressed that a city of only 200,000 has enough interest to make such an event lucrative. anyway, last night i saw this movie goldfish memory which was pretty good. it was an irish film, irreverent and cute and with a lot of different relationship configurations and sexualities, but sort of sickeningly incestuous. what interested me was the fact that both my friends read the lexbian relationship as femme-femme and i didn't see it that way at all. yes, both the women had longer hair, but i just saw them as not really on the butch-femme continuum at all. interesting.
the other interesting thing was that it was a women-only space. on principle i really shouldn't have attended it for that reason, but i also noticed that there was at least 1 trans-woman there, so they were at least not being assholes about it.
