Open letter
Dear Rep. Weiner,
I hear you're about to resign. That's probably for the best, and you've certainly disappointed all of us. I can't remember who said it, but there was a great quote from one of your colleagues, "How could someone so smart do something so stupid?"
But I'll tell you the worst part: You were the only House member I liked, and I still like you.
I agree with that lady who defended you from the reporters outside your home: "What you do in private is your business, we support you, and we will make you the next mayor of New York!"
And also the other one, the elderly lady: "Get inside, Anthony! Get inside!"
I hope this is the last we see of your ding-dong, but I hope it's not the last we see of you.
