Control Z
"control z" is set in the not too distant future about a man who is given the opportunity to use a special telephone that allows him to call himself in the past to undo a regretful event. this is a short 2D animated film i've been working on for one of my uni projects. it's part of a group project that uses the telephone as a theme to link the different movies.
the above image, i used painter for the very first time and wanted this paintery look throughout my movie. unfortunately, this process took too long and i had to end up using photoshop filters and after effects adjustment layers to achieve this effect instead.
i finished the rough cut a couple of nights ago and it's 7 mins 30 secs. there are some changes and improvements i'd like to make before our final presentation if i have time. it features original music composed and performed by Peter M Novotnik, voice acted by Richard Papas and is entirely written, animated and directed by me.
hopefully, once everything is finalised and complete, i'll be able to show more images and maybe even a teaser quicktime of the movie somewhere. will keep you posted.
Edit: this also achieves #003 - Produce a 5 minute animation / short film off my 101 things in a 1000 days. yes!
