i need more time

the above pic is the cover i'm currently working on for an upcoming knight-edge comic called shiranui. i still have about 12 pages left to finish and i really want it done and printed by supanova in october. given my current busy schedule, unless i reduce my sleep to about 2 hours per night, i might just be able to achieve this.

uni is crazy busy. this semester's theme seems to be exhibitions and public multimedia installations. we did our group progress presentations today which is intended to hopefully be used at somewhere public. don't know if that's for sure or not yet though, but that would be pretty cool. i'm basically proposing to do a short animation set in the future. i still need to look for a male voice actor and a music composer. oh, and heaps of frames of animation to draw!

earlier this week, i also spent a lot of time making a panorama of jells park (the link doesn't have a preloader and it's pretty BIG file. so don't say i didn't warn you) in flash only to find out that we can hand it in next week. oh well, at least i got that over and done with. had to do a quick actionscript review since i didn't realise i had forgotten so much since last year.

individual project presentation next week. i'll update once i know myself what i'm actually doing for that one! :P

last week during one of my lectures, we were discussing machinima and modding. i found out that counter strike was originally a mod of half life made by fans and got so popular that valve bought it from the modders and re-released it as either a free download for existing half life owners or sold as a game itself. at least that's what my lecturer was going on about. maybe the talented yoseshiro can tell me something about that ;)

have to remember to pick up a copy of fell #1 (by ellis & templesmith - image comics) soon. oh, and everyone should check out peng (by c. lewis - oni press) since i thought sharknife kicked much arse!!

games, comics, knight-edge, uni
