so hey. what's everyone doing for Australia day? cos dewsons is closed on thursday, and i'm not doing anything....
in other news, managed to sell nearly all my text books at the second hand thing. only failed in getting rid of melanie's biology book and my own ancient history texts, because they're doing rome this year. i tried to shove em off on some unseuspecting year elevens, but they had more guile than i expected. that's ok. i wanted to keep them anyway. i'd had enough of that achy feeling when i got rid of my other books.
see, i'm like the granny who hoards bits of string in case they're useful, except hopefully better looking. definately more youthful. ;) so, i don't like to get rid of anything. especially things i've grown attached to, like my books. at the moment it's horrible, because i'm going through my room and culling most of my stuff. ::shudder:: it'll be ok, i just have to stop putting it off.
hmm, what else? dewsons was a fucking zoo today. so that sucked. then i went for a walk, and had a mini breakdown a while ago when the kids wanted me to make dinner and were being bitchy about it. mum and dad are at one of dad's old colleague's house for dinner. so that also sucked, although it was quite funny, because they were looking at me as though i'd grown another head or something. i don't think they've made me cry since - well, i can't remember. it's always mum who makes me cry. i think i might be anaemic. on another note, heh.
i think that's all... i had fun with anna the other day, that was cool. she slept over and we had breakfast at cafe acfe in subi, before wandering around the place. there's a wicked bookshop next to a cafe across from the trainstation called 'bookstop'. i liked the look of this book called 'planets' and this other one, i think it was about psychology. so, we wandered around, looked at books, and got my mum some flowers - pretty lillies and aranda orchids. yay for flowers! mmm... teh pretty.
anyway. that's it from me. i think i'll go read a book or something.
don't forget, y'all. australia day. we doing anything?
