Random Olympics thoughts: the Slovenians were very pretty. So are the Italians, who are obviously having a blast. It's good to see the older athletes sprinkled in among all the young ones. What an incredible thing, whether or not they get medals or not, to be able to say they were there and competed

Glad to hear Will got detention instead of suspension.

I had to read about and see pics of the opening ceremonies from Yahoo since I was at work and had my vcr programmed for scifi channel and numb3rs. Looked impressive. Did you know this was the first time that the Olympic flag was carried in by 8 females?

I haven't watche SG-1 yet, so I can't knowledgeably talk about whether Cam should've called for Sam or Daniel. True she does have the whole soldier thing going for her, but not counting the Ascended year, Daniel's been schooled in the whole miltary rigamarole for 7-8 years. So he's hardly a newbie. I haven't really seen any evidence in eps. suggesting that Cam is in any way biased toward women, in that they should be treated as equals in the armed forces. I'll try and keep my eyes open as I go back through eps. later. Cam certainly seemed respectful and willing to follow advice from the female doc in the VA hospital. I'm assuming she was military, but even if she isn't if Cam was in any way thinking of women as less of an equal I don't remember seeing any thing like that in this epsiode. Of course, this is probably all much ado about nothing as a writer scripted Daniel to be the one Cam called. If one were to take a slashy view, you could say that with Cam/Daniel boffing each other like bunnies Cam would instintively call for his partner to watch his back so-to-speak, like the Thebean Band.

Rodney can whine or cross the line from snark into whine, but there's plenty of snark around him and what can I say smart is sexy! *wink*

On SG1 . . . if he'd called for help in general, I wouldn't have thought anything of Daniel going to his aid. It just seemed odd under the circumstances that he called specifically for Daniel (although I like the slash angle *g*).

As for Rodney . . . *sigh* sadly, I just don't find *him* sexy. Which makes fanfic hard to find, unfortunately. Some day, I'm going to get on the same wavelength as the majority of the writers in a fandom again.
