Day 2

Oct 01, 2005 21:06

Have made granola, trail mix, and am attempting raisin bread (thanks to the fabulous gift of a bread machine from kaytee4ever).  Am not sure I didn't kill the yeast in the raisin bread, though.  May end up with raisin brick.

Currently, Will and I are watching Saiyuki Reload disc 3.  The voices and artwork are significantly not up to the standards of the earlier series.  It's still fun to watch, though.  Goku seems to be spending a lot of time asleep/unconscious.  Also, Hakkai seems to have developed blue eyes.  How odd.  We're going to watch a disc of Get Backers next . . . #7, I think.  Maybe.

So, apparently I'm going to be the last person in fandom to watch Serenity, as I'm not going to get to see it till next weekend.  However, next weekend is a long weekend, so it won't be a rush to watch it in between the usual weekend stuff.

In other news, I'm highly confused by the discovery that I may actually have enough money once all my bills are paid to A) buy groceries and B) not be overdrawn.  In fact, if my calculations are correct, I should have a fairly significant amount left over.  Something is seriously wrong with that picture.  I *never* have money left over.

The question is, what should I do with it?  Christmas is coming, and I'm going to need mega-bucks if I go back to grad school.  The house needs some things done to it, I think my printer is broken beyond repair, and I really need RAM for the desktop.  And Will always needs clothes due to not stopping growing, and I could use a few extra shirts for work. Plus, there's the "fun" stuff: DVD sets, manga, storage bins . . .

Okay, so my idea of fun is a little weird.  However, not tripping on my collected crap is, in fact, rather enjoyable.

I'm really not used to having money to spend.  I don't know how to deal with it.  Maybe I'll discover that I've forgotten a major bill and everything will return to normal.

money, saiyuki
