How sad. Captain Kangaroo has died.
Back when I was young enough to watch this, we couldn't afford cable, so we got CBS and sometimes NBC, if the rabbit ears weren't being interfered with. Before I could ever watch Sesame Street or Mr. Rogers, I watched Captain Kangaroo. I don't remember much now except enjoying it and wanting some green jeans :-).
He'll be missed, but to leave a legacy of so much happiness in children's lives is a wonderful thing.
