More about me

In the way of good mothers everywhere, I am trying to win ebay auctions for PS2 games that Will has come to enjoy (the Suikoden series), because A) it's his birthday on the 12th and B) I may be a good mother, but I'm not completely stupid when it comes to finances. Those games are expensive when they're new. He's also getting some books and clothes, and probably a day or two of unlimited game time. He just got a new cell phone on my plan (he had a go phone before), and he's getting a belt holder for that and a microphone for the computer to help with his German language software. Maybe not the most exciting 16th birthday ever, but hopefully he'll enjoy it.

This auction thing makes me nervous. I don't like to bid till the last minute due to not wanting to drive the price up more than necessary. But that means babysitting the auction, plus the possibility that I'll lose, plus feeling guilty if I win 'cause other people lost. Neurosis, thy name is Katie. I am not made to be a hard-core ebay-er, obviously.

I still have vague pain/feverish-feeling all through my sinuses on the side that got the root canal. I've been on penicillin since Thursday night; I would have thought it would be working by now. I'm going to wait till it's finished to call the dentist back (if necessary) just in case I'm wrong about that. In the meantime, I have to set my alarm for 6:00 am because I have to take it every six hours, and I just don't wake up at 6:00 am on my own.

Sometimes, I think that my entire life would be different if I were naturally a morning person.

And for my computer woes--I found my printer software and PSP 9 (I know they're up to, like, 11 or something now, but for the amount I use it, upgrading is kind of stupid). What I can't find is Nero. I will cry if I have to buy a replacement. The current version is running $80 from Nero themselves; I could probably find it a little cheaper if I shopped around, but I've already paid for it! Or, more likely, the previous version, but it worked just fine! Someday, I must learn to organize. I'm running on a non-updated version of Norton right now and hoping for the best; I don't download email and I'm avoiding downloading programs I don't know until next month. Everyone do me a favor and don't send me any viruses, okay? Or, if you must, send old ones that Norton will recognize.

I may have more to say, but right now, I've got to go babysit an auction.

money, computer, shopping, will
