I just bought a digital camera. gweneiriol, if you were wondering what that gift certificate went to, now you know. It was a hard decision between that and an mp3 player, but I think I'd use the camera more.
NaNo starts tomorrow. Given that my week is ultra-busy, getting anything done will be interesting. I created a filter for skimming personal journals and a few writing-related journals, but I don't know that I'll look at most communities during November. I'm pretty sure they'll carry on without me. My nano journal is kaethesnano, if anyone wants to follow along with the story.
Otherwise, I'm totally overwhelmed by life.
As for the SPN incest debate . . . wow. I'm so bothered by the concept of incest these days that I don't think I can comment on the fetishization of it. I don't understand the need to sexualize a relationship that has love and closeness and an unbreakable bond already; on the other hand, I'm not sure that other people writing it is *bad*, except in the sense that some fascinating story ideas are basically inaccessible to me because they're written as incest, and that's never good. I'm unashamedly selfish in that I wish people would keep the incest to the PWPs and write the plot and character stories as gen.
In summary, it's all about me.
Should I not post again for a month, I'm hopefully over at the nano journal, writing like a fiend. It's been nice knowing y'all.
