Randomness
So, have had thoughts over the weekend. Am cutting so as not to spam friends' pages.
First, have written 500+ words for Nano, but am thinking maybe doing it is more insanity than I originally thought. Other obligations between now and Christmas include 2 afghans and 2 fics, plus part of a TS round robin. Have decided not to sweat it. If I get 50,000 words total on all stories, including my original one, I'll be happy, but if I don't, that's okay too. I may hold my own quasi-nano month in July or something when I have time to really devote to writing.
Am not really in a writing zone atm anyway. Am feeling creative, but decoratively so, not authorily. Am not apparently in the right hormonal stage for writing, but have a need to nest. Lovely.
Warning: potential TMI paragraph ahead. Have had something funky going on in the general area of my reproductive system anyway, so hormones are so screwed up it's a wonder I can accomplish anything. Have had three periods in two months, plus a fair amount of pain around my ovaries, lower back, and--weirdly enough--hip joint. Have been to the doctor to rule out UTI and kidney infection, have taken antibiotic for four days, have had blood test to see if thyroid is involved but don't have results back yet. Am seeing doctor again on Wednesday for yearly check-up, so will pursue it then. Am not enjoying the experience.
Went trick-or-treating with T., M., and kids. Had fun. D. was a dragon-slayer and A. had little cat ears--to young for anything more fancy, and she slept through the whole experience anyway. TK was a ninja. Was v. cold. Bizarrely cold, as we normally can still wear shorts this time of year.
Am tired of the rain. White linoleum on kitchen floor makes mud a big pain in the butt, especially since that's how Brenna gets in the house. Am sick of mopping/wiping/sweeping the floor every few hours.
Have figured out how to run DSL connection into living room. Requires having phone lines stretched throughout the house, but I can be online without having to be stuck back in my room, where it's hard to keep track of TK. Is a good thing.
Have bought Nick Carter cd. Like muchly. Am interested to see if I feel the same way about Justin's cd. Am excited to hear that JC should have a single coming out in early December from the Drumline soundtrack. JC has a wonderful voice. It should be heard more.
Hmm. Is a guy on Charmed who looks like Corin Nemec. I'm just saying.
Have urge to write Outsiders fic. May do that soon. Need to crochet, though, so am not sure. In general, am feeling uninspired to do anything except watch Angel and go to bed. That, or read really good h/c-ish fic of some sort or another. Which would require finding some, which would require effort. Am probably just going to watch Angel and go to bed.
