18th Century Shoes...For My Hubby!!!

Feb 14, 2014 09:04

I've had a long-standing saved eBay search for Fugawee shoes.  It's rare that they come across in my size, but even more rare in Ben's size.  Well, it happened today!

These are the Concord style, in 'rough' leather.  They don't come with buckles, so I'll have to see if my American Duchess ones fit.  If not, I'll just order some from Fugawee.

I'm so stoked to have this part out of the way!  I've got some clocked over-the-knee stockings already (the light gray with black clock) so footwear is done!!!  Now if I can just find a decent back wool hat blank (or a plain wool tricorn costume hat) to size and decorate, I'll just be left with the (relatively easy) sewing and accessorizing stuff.  I've got a UFO waistcoat from a pirate costume I made several years ago that might work well for this.  If not, I've got no qualms about starting from scratch.

So...who else wants to bring their SO to the picnic this fall?  :D
