(this originally started off as a comment to hillary's post.. but then i just went off)
Here in jax, we noticed punk was goin trendy quite some time ago. more posers than punks. you go up to some dude wearing 2" spikes and say "oi, my friend" and they respond, "blink182! anarchy in the uk!" Fukkers... then Hot Topic came along.. all us punks hate the fuck out of that store, but alot of us still shop there because our old shops sold out and bought a bunch of skater and surfer merchandise(fukk you, Outer Limits!). that brings me to skaters: fukk! just a year ago the music choice of skating was punk.. now its rap and hip-hop... but those skate freaks still go to hot topic and try to look punk. the punk scene has gone from mad rages of anarchy and kick ass shows to drunken punks playing psx at steve's house to finally 2 sober punks watching movies at gilbert's house which smells like mildew. All in one year. If punk's not dead... I dont know where the fukk it went.
