Alive

Okay, so, for those few people who might've ever followed this journal (hah), I haven't updated in forever since my laptop died in December, just before exams, which left me scrambling to find a solution. Laptop is still dead, and that dying completely changed my internetty routine. I keep forgetting to log into my normal account which means I don't update and I don't check my flist. I do have a regular computer now, but it's not a laptop, and I have use of a laptop but it doesn't have internet. So yeah.

...besides, all you missed was one term where I was taking one class and the entire summer which may have ended up completely ignored anyway.

Run-down of the year for everything I can think of:
December: Managed to pass exams somehow, had a birthday.
January: ...I have no clue. I think there was a mock search where I played a subject.
February: Even less of a clue, probably because I was back in class.
March-June: See above.
July: This is the month I spent away. First, I went to Vancouver Island for a week-long cave rescue seminar, spent another three days caving, took a day break and then biked from White Rock to Hope in three days, got home, and then on the last day of July went camping with the RP group. Technically it was August long weekend though, so most of it was in August. We saw deer and ground squirrels and a potential badger and a porcupine and big-horned sheep. I also got a bit over-tired and got angry at one of the other group members after we were back here but that's neither here nor there.

Since then I've been vegging in preparation for university. By the by, totally an archaeology major now. And Firefox doesn't think archaeology is a word, it wants me to take out the second a hah. Well Firefox obviously doesn't know how to spell.

Let's see... my dad has become obsessed with torrent downloading since he thinks it's a great way to preview movies. Of course, when he decides he likes a movie he just doesn't delete it, which makes me think he's missing more than a bit of the point, not to mention he's getting mad about the torrenting program introducing viruses but refuses to remove it which is more than a bit silly.

I got Pokemon HeartGold and love it to bits, even if I am taking forever to do anything because of outside business and Entei refusing to get in a ball already. Also, I'm underlevelled for the Elite Four. That really doesn't help. I'm doing slightly better than before, I'm just stalling because I keep thinking Entei is 40 not 45 and therefore I'll get too high to use repels to find him. I'd Master Ball him but I still don't have Latias which is also wandering in my game, and he's already paralyzed/1 hp. In Diamond I have 445 or so entries out of 493, so I'm working on finishing that up before Black and White come out. I have... just under a month if I pretend the Japanese versions count. If not, then I have quite a bit longer. Then again most of the remaining is just buckling down and leveling things. Included in my list of don't have yets are Wartortle/Blastoise, Cherrim and a bunch of stone evolutions. I just get really tired of leveling really fast.

I have basically stopped using Facebook since there was nothing really there for me anyway. I was playing Farmville for a while, but your interest in that wanes really fast if you don't have Flash on a computer.

I think that's about it. Can't think of anything else for the moment, at least. Besides, my copy finished. Oh yeah I took up geocaching as a hobby to make sure I got outside more often. Now I'm done.
