MacGuyver Mom
Well, today's adventure began with the breaking of a cheap fireman toy - his leg came off. Well, we can't have that - a one-legged fireman has a tough time climbing ladders, after all. But, alas, there isn't a precision screwdriver in the house, and all the screwdrivers available were too large in circumference to reach the recessed screw. The nailfile also proved too wide, as did the tiny scissors. But, having a reputation to maintain, I was determined to find a tool to work. Finally, persistence paying off, I located what was probably my last intact bobby pin. After bending it to roughly 90 degrees and scraping the rubber coating off the end, it proved to be the perfect tool. So, I'm happy to report that Mr. Fireman is again among the bi-legged and protecting innocents against the rages of wildfires everywhere.
