Some of it is not mine, but since it's Election Day, that's natural. I'm afraid, though, that all the political hubbub won't go away for six months after today. It's highly possible that the voting will be drawn out the way it has been in recent elections, so it doesn't really end until Thanksgiving. This system is absurd, and the electoral college is bad. Popular vote is possible now, so that should be implemented. I say all this not out of a burning desire to improve our system of politics and because the two-party system no longer works (which is true, in my opinion), but out of a burning desire to be left alone. I hate how intrusive politics has become. We received no less than 13 automated calls yesterday from the Republican Party (my parents are registered Republicans, so that makes sense), and that kind of interuption is unconscionable.
However, the part that is mine is the result of something I would dearly love to go to someday. I never knew it existed, but now...I really want to go. Yes, there is in fact a
World Tea Expo! They even have a Tea Championship! I know most of my friends would not be interested in something like this, but I think it would be so much fun to see the best retailers in North America and to attend seminars, etc. Maybe not the whole weekend, but it would be on my "To go to" list if I wanted to make a vacation out of the whole thing.
