I am so proud of that. My original goal when I was pregnant was "I'd like to nurse Joey two years or as long as he would like to before that and then just see after we make it to two years". It was important to me because I knew that the World Health Organization recommends strongly to breastfeed until age two for the health of the child. I'd hoped I'd be able to make it, and I suppose the entire time I envisioned us being able to, because I didn't see any real obstacles.
My little son is still very attached to breastfeeding and nurses about 3-6 times per day (depending on the day and circumstances) - waking, naptime, bedtime, and sometimes waking from nap and another time or two randomly in the day but I'd say usually 3-4 times a day.
We made it to two years, and I'd like to let him decide when it's time to stop, if possible. I'm going to take it as it comes for the time being.
=)
