I wasn't entirely happy with this season ender, but I gotta hand it to Banshee -- they always take risks
Off the top of my head rambles below.
Job's fanboy cracks me up. The actor is clearly having oodles of fun playing the role and is bringing the right amount of Handflappy EEEEEEE! I'm in the presence of my favorite hacker maybe I can make him think I'm cool, and HOLY SHIT I can't believe I lucked into bagging him!
Loved Job's final fight just before the Fanboy lucked into scooping him up. I love it when they're balsy enough to give actors and doubles a belt to fight with -- that takes some serious skill.
Just when I thought that Clay Burton's actions towards Kai Proctor can't get more homoerotic? They do.
The scene between Brock Lotus and Kurt Bunker, where Bunker is just barely keeping his shit together? HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I kept reading that Tom Pelphrey, the actor who plays Bunker is "the real deal" but seeing is believing.
That said, I can't believe the AB caught Bunker that easy. If it was me that had that kind of potential trouble coming after me, not only would my house be well locked, but I'd have all sorts of bells, chimes, and noisemakers on my doors. Also, damn, what a way to lose tattoos. (And have I mentioned that I love the casting of Chris Coy as Calvin Bunker?)
Sugar settling the argument between Job and Anna? Priceless.
Gordon's days in the Marines were apparently spent as a Scout Sniper. Damn, I am sad to see him go.
Lucas's desperation when he saw that Job had been taken? Damn. Never doubt Lucas's devotion to Job. Never.
A Banshee without Lucas as Sherrif? That's going to be interesting. I mean, really, what's keeping any of them in the area?
I like the reveal that at one point, Lucas was part of a military black-ops organization, which is where he got a lot of his skills, as well as the ... psychological hardening to cope as well as he does with some of the situations he finds himself in.
Lucas and Anna getting back together? Eh.
Deva crying in Lucas's arms? Eh.
So, on the one hand, I do feel a bit let down, but on the other, it's a bold move for Banshee to reinvent itself by having Lucas finally quit and taking away his BFF, Job. And how it burns that he doesn't have the skills to track down Job.
