Only two episodes left and omg, it's like Season 1 all over again.
But at least Smash is doing okay. :D
We are full circle back to S1's frustrated and pissed off Tim. The one who's just a hairsbreadth away from lashing out. "It's okay because it's Dillon, Texas!" and those heartbreaking exchanges with Becky, Billy, and Mindy.
And Becky, sigh. "I needed that job." The sad fact of the matter is, she probably did. Yeah, Tim's right, she deserves better, but life doesn't always go that way and nothing else Becky did was going to bring in that kind of money.
The way budget cuts and tightness just pervaded every facet of the episode.
Vince and his Dad. Just shatters my heart. But I'm so happy to see Vince and his mom coming closer together again and I loved that he understands she needs to go to the meeting.
Jess. Wanting so much more and coming up against that wall of chauvinism. And Coach, as he always does, finding a way to be awesome.
Coach and Tami in the car on the way to the airport. Best, most realistic TV marriage. Ralph and I have had that same fight more times than I can count. And yeah, considering all the times she's put her dreams aside to follow his job? I think it's time Coach took one for her.
And ending it at Carroll Park!
(And I liked that Buddy and Hastings are still friends -- as sad as I am that we're not going to get any more development with them -- that one little snippit of them on the bus together made me giggle snort.)
