and much fun was had by all! Despite a last-minute panic about teekup having a make-up childbirth class, the baby shower went off without a hitch! Mostly due to the planning and execution by mom_almighty and the_lword. And, of course, the fearless mission by senormysterioso, greybar, and e.p. to get dip. Those dips. :)
kendo_motoko and her dh, M, were also in jolly attendance, which was lovely as I hadn't seen them in a while. There were three children under the age of 2 and two pregnant women, so it was just a fecund group of folk, I guess.
amymarr, I thought nobody could match your record three diaper genies as gifts at one shower, but miss teekup did in fact get three. I hear those things are fabulous, but since we're planning on using cloth diapers I guess I'll miss out on the fabulous-osity.
mom_almighty and her household had done a wonderful job of de-cat-hairing the house, so I was able to stay a full three hours and was thrilled. Yay to party-goers, best wishes for the zimmerling, and to all a good night.
The rest of the weekend was spent with Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, and an Interboro Band concert. Tonight is our last Natural Childbirth class, and we're going to learn about inductions and c-sections. Better prepared, I guess.
