there was much not good today, and I ended up working really late.
However, on the way home, there was much awesome.
I was driving along I-94, heading east. It was dusk - most of the sky a deep navy blue. Looking off to my left, in the trees, I saw what appeared to be a beautiful golden dome, all lit up. I thought it was a bit odd, because I didn't remember there being a mosque in that area.
And then it occurred to me: not a mosque. The moon.
Sure enough, another couple miles down the highway, the road turned, and there in front of me was the full moon, large and golden and stunning.
I paid my homage to her, and drove on home - by the time I arrived, the moon was much higher in the sky, and while still beautiful, not quite the take-my-breath away of her rising.
