some days, life comes back around to the same place
In January 2003 I attempted to found a Pagan Chamber of Commerce in Michigan.
In early 2005, I gave up, due to not enough support from the group (largely centered around, "why do you want to charge dues? money is evil, and dues aren't fair, because I don't make much money!")
The new owner of the list set out some interesting goals; 8 months later she basically said she wasn't doing anything without input from the group, and they weren't giving input, so she wasn't doing anything.
In poking at that email list this week with questions about advertising and supporting Pagan-owned businesses, those participating in the discussion have already come all the way back to, "we need a website, with listings! and they shoudl be FREE!!!"
