My other birthday present of note: 500 index cards.
Just sitting down and writing on various projects hasn't been working all that well. At least this way, whether I'm researching a project or thinking about my non-research project, I only have to write in short bursts. Then when I've got a whole stack of cards, I can sort them and use that as the basis to write things out.
Now if I could just get the habit nailed down of writing a blog entry on the topic of religion and community and suchlike every week, I'd be set.
