it's been hot, but i think that's been across the board summer-ness. i'm just glad that
a) my power hasn't gone out
b) i have ac in my apt.
no one ever told me how quickly precious dollars dissapear in cities. i'm failing miserably at being an independent person with a job and a budget.
today marks the end of my summer training. six weeks and i'm suddenly stamped with approval to have my own classroom. excitedly terrified describes the emotion. the emotion that makes younger childen wet their pants.
i have high hopes that this next month will prove relaxing and enjoyable in this town that has kinda been rough on me. pompina was a dear comrade that i was unprepared to lose. i've been nursing the pain with my national geographic subscription and high doses of not spending time alone in my apartment listening to sad music. cause believeyoume, that just creates the biggest pitty party this side of the mississippi.
the plan goes like this:
tomorrow comes a donated microwave and new purchased printer.
within the coming weeks read for pleasure,
enjoy visits from friends
enjoy a trip to stl (august 14-19ish)
plan for the upcoming year
