I knit a giant shawl.
It is not as fancy as the Percy shawl, but it is much, much cozier, and knit in a color I will actually wear. (Also, Percy has gone to live with
3rdragon now, and she seems to be actually wearing it.) And it is... large. For scale, the blocking board it's pinned to is about 4 feet by 2.5. It was knit from the outside edge in, which is probably the only way I'll ever be patient enough for such a giant shawl, since when I'm knitting from the inside out, I usually get bored about when the outside edge hits 400 stitches, and here I cast on 614 stitches and watched it slowly get smaller.
It is cozy. It took a month to knit. I have nowhere to wear it to and it doesn't matter because I'll come up with excuses to wear it anyway. One of these days, I'll knit things that I actually can wear when I'm out and about, but those days are far from right now.
Ben claims I'm turning into a housewife. Given that my to-do list for the day consists of laundry and cleaning (and running to the library if I've the time for it), he may be right, much as it pains me to admit it.
I'm debating NaNo, because I want an excuse to work on the Tatterhood-as-a-ya-novel thing I was talking about a bit back. Granted, NaNo and I don't get along very well, but... I've got all these characters, and all these ideas. I want them to get out and play a little bit, and NaNo will force me to do it.
But that means that I'd better damn well get a few other things done before November...
