I love bitchy people.

On October 10th, I purchased two very nice samurai swords for myself and Straif. I've yet to recieve the damn items. I had hoped to give him his as a gift when I went to see him for MFF. Customer service at this company is SLOW and I have little patience for that. If I pay money for something, I want my damn answers in a timely fashion. Five days + to get an e-mail reply is pathetic At the beginning of the week, I sent them one more e-mail, since I'd yet to recieve items after fourteen days from recieving a 'Items right on the way!' e-mail.

To put it short and simple, I told them I'd assume that unless I recieved an e-mail by today, I'd assume I was being ripped off for a few hundred dollars. I made vague hints to the BBB, among other things.

The e-mail I recieved today, at my deadline. I'm still made suspicious by this, since the timing's so right on the line.

Daniel,

We haven't stayed in business for over seven years by ripping people off; and we frown on those accusations. The only thing that delays orders is lack of merchandise. If we run out, we have to wait for the manufacturer to send more.

Your order is a top priority and will be shipped ASAP. Tracking numbers will be automatically e-mailed after shipment.

A solution to this "out of stock" problem is to raise the prices on all of the merchandise by at least 30%. This would bring it up to the average level of most of our competitors.

We choose not to do that so we can offer the ridiculously low prices that we have advertised.

Thank you,

Davis

And my very cordial reply?

My real reply?

I understand the problems inherent in supply and demand perfectly. And I need no explanation as to current economic systems and pricing, as I've run my own fair share of enterprises. Yet I don't apologize for the accusation, as rude as it may seem, and as deeply as it's frowned upon. It's just as simple to keep a customer's mind at ease with a simple note stating you're out of stock/waiting on a shipment than to keep him in the dark. It's good customer relations, and the duty of a customer service department.

"Payment received and order is being shipped." (October 25th)

The statement above generally implies the order is on its way. Fourteen days without further contact or update on the status of an order is, I'd hope you'll admit, a stretch on one's faith in a company with whom one has never dealt.

In any case, I do thank you for the time taken for the reply, and eagerly await the items purchased.

Sincerely,
Dan Harris.

I can't believe he tried to not only speak down to me, but give me a fucking economics lesson and supplier sob story. Dumbfuck. I co-ran a fucking bookstore for two years, and I know how to deal with customers. And I am hardly a rude, unruly customer. I've been nothing but polite, patient, and understanding.

EAT SHIT, Next Gen Web.

And send me my shit!
