I GOT THE JOB! \*_*/

*FLAIL* SHE JUST CALLED ME AND I GOT THE JOB. OMFG. I really shouldn't be this excited about work! BUT MY MONEY TROUBLES ARE OVER!

I start on Monday the 17th, I've cleverly worked it so that I wouldn't have to start on my vacation >_>;

DETAILS (Or, "Why This Job Will Kick The Crap Out Of JCPenney"): (because you know, everyone really cares LOL)
• $12 an hour (as opposed to $8.70...can you believe I LIVE ON THAT??)
• Mon-Fri, 8:30-4:30 with weekends off (as opposed to a non-set schedule with every other weekend off and not as many hours)
• NO CUSTOMERS (well, there are customers, but I won't ever deal with any of them!)
• WE'RE ALLOWED TO LISTEN TO OUR OWN MUSIC. Hell yes, I'm bringing my iPod!

So anyway, what this job is...it's basically "saving" old books, maps, records, etc. There are these different stations where you take out pages, clean them off, stitch them back together, etc. and sometimes you can't stitch them back because the pages are too old, so you have to put them into these special plastic sleeves first. I got a brief tour when I went in for my interview. It's not quite an office-type building, but it's not like...factory work, either. The environment was nice and quiet (they said it's because people are always listening to their own music XD) and the people seemed very nice.

My interview only took a half hour, but I was late getting there because OMFG I GOT LOST LIKE THREE TIMES AND KEPT HAVING TO TURN AROUND. They didn't mind though because apparently that happens to other people a lot! We just laughed about it XD

Thing is, it takes about a half an hour to get there (I timed myself coming home) so I'm going to have to leave a lot earlier than I'm used to leaving for a job, and I'll use a lot more gas than I have in the past; however, my new paychecks will MORE THAN compensate for that ;D

Wheeee! I'm supposed to get an e-mail with all the details on the job in a bit. In the meantime... *eyes the pile of laundry*
