My mom just told me (via Facebook message 9_9) that our "free loader cat" has died.
Fisher was technically our neighbor's cat, but most of the time it felt like we had joint custody of him. He wasn't a young cat, I remember back when our neighbors got him as a kitten. They let him go outside and he'd wander down to our yard, and I always worried about that tiny little kitten and hoped he'd be okay being outdoors like that. I guess he got so used to us that it was no big deal to him to hang around all the time; eventually he started getting into our house and he would eat our cats' food. My parents didn't want him in there at first, and then my mom would call the neighbors and let them know that Fisher was hanging around here if he didn't go home that night.
So it always felt like Fisher was a member of our family too. Mom said he was hit by a car on route 5. Seems like a lot of animals die there ):
Fisher freeloading.
I'll miss him. At least I got to see him while I was in Vermont last month, though. FISHER ;_;
