AU Big Bang Art!!!
I did art for two fics in the au_bigbang, which gives me hope that one day I'll be able to tackle an actual fic for a big bang... But we'll see. Anyways, here is the first post of art for meh_forget_it's story, Hold Me Close and Believe. It's a super sad (but holy-crap-awesome) fic, and you should all go check it out.
Summary: Young Sammy has an imaginary friend named Loki, and when he doesn't disappear with age, John thinks that maybe something's wrong with Sammy's head.
1. This is the title page I created. It's a manip of a picture I found of Colin Ford and Ridge Canipe interposed on a used-car lot, which I photoshopped to blend... whatever, unimportant. Point is, I'm pretty proud of this one:
2. Which is why I made this icon, because there isn't enough Sam/Loki art in the world:
3. This is an icon I made of the fanmix cover below:
4. I spent a long time debating over songs to use in this mix, because the story has so much nuance and depth, I wanted to do it justice. Also, going back and forth on music likes with my author (because I didn't want to give her a mix full of music she hated) was challenging due to technical difficulties on both ends. But it turned out well in the end, and I converted someone new to the Fembots! And hopefully anyone reading this will be converted too. Anyways, the art itself is supposed to represent the super dark time Sammy has in the insane asylum. I included the sweatshirt, because that was a huge part of his breakdown, and also Loki's name on his arm, to show how dependent he is on the guy:
