It's June 16th... and that is crazy!
That means it's less than a month until my relocation to DC!
Am I packed and ready to go? definitely not.
I've been painting my dressers a tanish color with brownish handles. I've always had a black and white bedroom... which has been my favorite, but the bedroom at the new place has yellow walls and I figured it would be easier to paint my stuff to complement the walls instead of repainting the whole room. So it will work out.
I've been trying to go through my things and stuff, but I have an attachment to everything! I'm not sure why... well I actually know why, but I can't grasp why I can't let go. A lot of the things and stuff are ridiculous to hold on to... but I just want to. I have, on the otherhand, gotten rid of a lot of things and stuff.
It's just hard.
rosie, gia and jacqueline had been visiting since last wednesday since they really won't see me before I move. We rented movies and went to the pool. Then last night we went to the Duct Tape Festival in Avon. It was fun. I made a crown out of duct tape, got my picture taken, ate a funnel cake AND an elephant ear, and got a quacker (which you blow through and it sounds like a duck and is in the shape of a ducks bill). Obviously it is the Duck tape festival (Duck tape brand which is from here and manufactured here). I also won a goldfish. When i went to play the pin pong balls were all indented so they wouldn't bounce -- making it harder to win. When the 15-year-old (who looked 30) carney (I only know this information b/c she told me it was her bday) handed them to me, my face was priceless. I was like "are you serious?" But, nonetheless, with my awesome fish winning powers, I won a fish, Ducky. my mom is taking him to work an putting him in their pond since I'll be moving and he'll probably die before then anyway. (If you remember I also won a fish, Chuck, from the Italian Fest in NYC when Carlos and I fist moved in to our apartment. Like I said: fish winning powers!)
Anyway. So I'm taking a break from painting and I need to go through more things. I might go to the pool for a bit today and relax.
