I've made a life-changing decision today. I'm not talking about it much further, but if I follow through with this life-changing decision you will hear more about it.

For the first time I have received an email from a manager/pr person for a band that I have given a 'bad' review. I don't even feel that it was that horrible of a review, on my part. It just wasn't completely positive.

For the abridged reviews in CMJ, they have a nice little image that accompanies the reviews... A rock on symbol for the incredibly awesome cds, a fist for ones that are pretty decent, and a middle finger for the ones that aren't so hot. Now, I think those choices are pretty funny, but in a sense, the middle finger is kind of harsh... and gives the impression that the album completely sucks, even though it may be that it's not up to par.

I feel kind of weird upon receiving the email. I've decided I will not respond.

Denny Doherty: 1940-2007

Mamas and the Papas singer Denny Doherty passed away yesterday. Those of you who know my love for the M's and P's know this is huge and upsetting.

66 is pretty young. Now there is only one Mama left. That's so sad.

Today I will listen to only the Mamas and the Papas in tribute. You should too.

Rest in Peace Papa Doherty.

This weekend was exceptional. I drove to Altoona, PA in bad weather but made it safely. B and I caught up and it was really nice and necessary. We made tacos. Well, she made tacos and I ate them. The next day we hung around and Chris came in. We played scrabble, and not to brag, but I won. Around 4ish Trev and the PCO boys came in. We chilled for a little and then the guys left for the show. B, Chris, Nick and I got pizza. We drank 22 oz. Yuenglings, which i was super excited about. We went to the show - which was good. Trev's peddles didn't work, but they recovered. Kilowatt played (Paul from Punchline's newer project that only has one more show before it is an older project - meaning they aren't a band anymore). We went back to B's grandpap's empty house. we played some beer pong, talked, ate, and drank beer. The next morning we had a pasta lunch with B's family and it was super nice. I headed out around 2 - ran into an icestorm, but somehow managed to return safely home.

my mom found a puggle (pug+beagle) for me, then told me i couldn't get it. weird.

I get to see Trevor in 3 weeks. I wish it was sooner.
