Since I have far too many favorite books to list them all, I'm spotlighting a single book (sometimes series) a month. I've been doing this on my FanFiction.net profile, and I'm going to start it here, as well. Previous entries are Watership Down by Richard Adams, V for Vendetta by Alan Moore and David Lloyd, The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, and The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold.
For February--The Year of Living Biblically. A. J. Jacobs asks the question, if biblical prohibitions are to be taken as grounds for (for example) condemning homosexuality, then why shouldn't (for example) prohibitions against wearing clothing made of mixed fibers be taken just as seriously? Answer: there is no logical reason. Next question--what would happen if you tried to follow EVERY rule set forth in the Bible? Answer: an absolutely hilarious, thought-provoking, and oddly respectful book.
