The date was not a date. Which was sad, but not surprising.
In other news, I've once again turned to the internet for help in finding a date. Yes...that's right, Yahoo Personals is now in charge of finding me a man. I've already got an interested Mr. Yahoo. Mr. Yahoo #1 seems to be a nice enough guy. Not too gramatically challenged. No picture, which worries me, but what can I do. Writing emails to him keeps me entertained at work.
I've also turned to eHarmony which is more of a game than a dating service. Sure it's meant to match you up with guys that you are compatible with, but for me it's more like an ongoing trivia game about myself. You don't actually pick people off a list, like other sites. eHarmony picks for you. Then once they match you up, you go through a 3 step process of exchanging questions and lists of "must haves" and "can't stands" before you actually exchange an email with the other person. So far they've done a really shitty job of picking a suitable husband for me. They have matched me up with jocks, men who look like they'll never leave their mothers basements, and Chris's best friend from work. I'm praying that he doesn't figure out who I am. Although I can see why we'd go good together on paper, he's a nutter in real life, and that concerns me. If eHarmony has matched me with one confirmed nutter, then what are the others like?
And finally, it's carnival week in the YTR. Yes, that's right! My favorite time of year has arrived. Carni's are flooding the streets even as I type. So if you're in the area (or can make it to the YTR) stop on by and play some Bingo! Highlights of last year's carnival included the "migrant Mexican" Chucko the ride operator, and a Too Creepy sighting. Rock on!
