The year of the 23 has ended. Overall, it was a good year. I spent the first few days of 23 in Australia, which is always a wonderful experience. I got hired back at my job, which has been both a curse and blessing. I saw my best friend get married. I put new carpet in my room. And if all that wasn't enough...I also managed to meet Chris.

This year's birthday celebration was a lot different from last year's. This time last year I was sitting on Jason's back porch, tanning and reading the DaVinci Code. For my birthday I got to see Jason do his stand-up act and I believe I did a little shopping. But this year I spent the day at work. BLAH! But it was nice to get attention from my coworkers. They took me to Max and Erma's where they thoroughly embarrassed me by having the waiters sing to me. But at least we all got free cookies out of the deal. Then my favorite boss, Gerald from Virginia, happened to be in the office so he stopped by to see me. Seeing Gerald really made my day. Then when I got home from work my parents took Chris and I to the Bahama Breeze in Pittsburgh where we all enjoyed a really good dinner. So even though my birthday wasn't spent in an exotic location, it was wonderful. It was much nicer to spend my birthday with Chris and my family than in Australia where no one really knows me.
