My Best Friend's Wedding
It's finally over. Mandie and Benji got married yesterday. It was a beautiful ceremony. In the end, everything seemed almost perfect.
It's so hard for me to put the day into words. There were so many emotions. I've known for over a year that she was getting married. But I don't think it's really sunk in yet. I got dressed up. I followed her around arranging and holding the train of her dress.. I made her laugh when she wanted to cry and I shared her joy and nerves before the ceremony. I walked down the aisle and I cried when I saw her husband-to-be tear up at the sight of her. I danced with the best man. I ate cake. But it doesn't seem real.
The entire day was like watching a wedding movie. I interacted with my friends...but it was all so surreal. I just can't believe the girl who used to ration the oreos and jump rope everyday at recess is married and on her honeymoon.
