I wish you an easy and healthy birth. Let me know if that hypnobirthing stuff works. I erased the next comment that I was going to say.

The reason why I was "late" with YM, is because they calculate the due date based on one's last missed period and do not consider that Orthodox Jews cannot conceive before mikveh night...so it makes sense that they were off. The ultrasound pushed his due date ahead by one week and he was born a week after that. Oh wait, mikveh is TWO weeks after the LMP...so he was born 'on time'. :)

I understand what it means to have no social life. People don't believe me when I say that I have no friends, but it's true! Everyone's in Israel or in some other far away land. The only people I ever talk to around here are family members. Lucky for me, DH's family is everywhere.

Re: tushies, YM has the cutest one in the world, but he's always itchy and so his cute, perfect shaped tush is covered in scratch marks. The best time to squish it is right after a bath (when it's clean!). Mmmm baby tushy.

Feel well and I hope to hear good news in the near future!

Sending much love!
Rebecca

This confuses me...they calculate it by assuming that ovulation is 2 weeks after the first day of the period, so why would it be different for people who do taharat hamishpacha? Unless the answer to my question is personal, in which case, sorry to pry.

I never had a 28 day cycle, so they have to take that into consideration as well (which they don't). It's probably as 'simple' as my ovulation date being later than most. BUT it actually is different for those that observe TH. My OBGYN has tons of frum patients, and they have seem that time and time again - the EDD is almost always super off.
