First things first. ;) WHITE takes 1st!! ^^ woot woot!! I was a bit a lot worried to be honest. ;) WHITE is not exactly a strong A-side (the B-sides on the other hand, blew me away), promos started a bit late and we have some tough competitions from DIVA and Perfume. I was so nervous i could barely get myself to look at Oricon XDD. I remember a few discussions we've had a few weeks back, when we learned our single release will be on the same week as DIVA's debut single. We were so afraid it'll be the end of our consecutive #1 single streak. Now, all our fears and reservations seem so silly. ;) I was actually contemplating buying a few more copies just to help, that's how scared i was! :)
I usually stay away from Arama because that place is a breeding ground for trolls but i found myself curious enough to look at some of the KT posts in there. I now wish i hadn't. ;( The comments I read (from supposed fans no less) made me rage. I'm not sure if they purposely set out to offend or they're just by nature offensive. To bash a group and then justify it by saying you're a fan is juvenile. I admit i'm biased. It's sometimes difficult for me to judge KAT-TUN objectively because i'm so emotionally invested in them. They'd probably release the crappiest single out there and I'd still be grateful because it's another chance to see them and hear something from them. That being said, i don't think WHITE is as crappy as people make it out to be. It's new and it's different and not their usual flavor but it is by no means a reject Arashi song. I still want to see them rock because it's what they do best, i still want them to release epic songs like NMP but i understand why they feel the need to experiment and explore. I understand that choosing a single takes a lot more thought process than we can imagine and it's not always up to them what song to sing or what single to release. There. It feels good to let that out.
It seems like we'll hear an announcement about the overseas concerts soon! For Bangkok at least. :) Excited ^^ I still haven't decided if i'll go. My travel plans are still for Seoul, Hawaii and Taipei but we'll see about Bangkok. I'm really tempted, especially if they'll do two days there. With the way i've been doing overtime work lately (30hrs in 2 weeks, ugh) it just might be possible. Time to put that ridiculous overtime pay to good use. :)
Lastly, I intend to make this a KAT-TUN friendly journal. KAT-TUN fans only. No AO fans, no 6nin only fans, no AK only fans. I created this journal back when my favorite is ex-A and i was an AK fan so it seems like an f-cut is inevitable. It has been fun, but things changed and I don't want to have to censor myself - not on this journal. And i don't want to offend people when i rant about their idol. So yeah, f-cut. Nothing personal, it's just that my interests right now couldn't be more different than my interests a year ago.. I
