We got a thick envelope from Fort Eustis. We didn't send original weight tickets from our move. So, we're hoping to get that cleared up with the trucking company that did the weighing. They don't just give away their originals though.
What pisses us off is this:
We sent the paperwork in "return receipt."
They received July 10.
The letter they sent us telling us they need the original weight tickets was dated JULY 14.
The envelope we received was dated August 4.
WTF?
This should get us somewhere around $5000. We had to pay for the move out of pocket because they no longer give advances.
That $5000 is our closing costs.
Fucking army.
I'm writing a letter of complaint about the person who sent us the letter 3 weeks after it was written.
And I sent our landlord a stern e-mail. Give me proof about the "handwritten" stuff and a legal definition of "addendum." My parents are meeting with their lawyer today for some stuff and might ask about our problem. I'm guessing one letter from a lawyer will get our landlord to send us the full refund. He's such an ass.
