So, at last Monday's doctor appointment, I mentioned my confusion with the previous ultrasound (it wasn't medically necessary, it wasted my one ultrasound tri-care will cover, blah blah). So, this doctor (a different, a male - which means I was able to talk with him much more easily than a female one) scheduled me another one - said he'd "find" a reason for it.
Perhaps one reason they (Langley) don't go all out and give ultrasounds like they should (only the transvaginal, dating ones) is because they don't have ultrasound techs there anymore. They have to send patients to either Portsmouth Naval hospital (which is maybe 45 miles from here) or Sentara (I think it what it's called), where we're going this evening (7pm).
Anyway, about this ultrasound. Of course, I'm praying everything looks just as it should. And of course we're mostly excited about finding out the sex of this biscuit! All along I've wanted a girl. Billy doesn't really specify a preference. But when we were in Texas around the 6 daughters of my cousins (only 1 boy and 1 on the way), he wanted a girl. My dad (Bob), on the other hand, kept introducing us and his "grandson." The thought of having a boy and giving my dad a grandson makes me very happy. (Poor guy, putting up with 3 girls all these years - still putting up with my sister).
So, as much as I wanted a girl, now I'm just excited about whatever it may be. Not that we can change it anyway, right?!
I still have a feeling it's a girl. This pregnancy has gone the same as the first 2. I'm predicting it to be a girl, and the next pregnancy I predict will be a boy and I will be sick all 9 months.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that as soon as we find out I'm going to want to run to the store, whichever is closest (except Walmart, which I'm still not shopping at), and buy girl or boy things! And finally to put a "spin" on the nursery. YAY.
And I need a baby icon in a bad way.
