Well, of course l'm gonna need to be tested first, but I do show a lot of symptoms.
I had never even considered it since I assumed narcolepsy meant falling down asleep for no damn reason all the time and I don't really do that but... it turns out the recurrent sleep paralysis that I've experienced since high school is actually a symptom of narcolepsy. Also, what I had assumed was ADD or just a general spaciness (blanking out and not paying attention during movies, during lectures, when other people are talking, etc [but not daydreaming -- just being not-so-conscious]) is also pretty indicative of narcolepsy. (Have you ever heard me say "I'm sorry but I wasn't paying attention"? I do it all the damn time.) Also, being so tired that I must go to my car and take a nap Right Now at 2:00 pm at work: not normal behavior. It also explains shit like losing my keys all the damn time and driving my car off the road and not being able to get out of bed in the morning.
Anyway, being narcoleptic seems more neat than being absentminded and perpetually bored, I think.
