Just so you know - I realize that none of this makes biological or genetic or any sort of sense. But this is Penguins we're talking about. Besides, it's fun. In a really cracky way.
I was taking a walk today when I got the idea for a new Penguins character. I... Really don't remember what mad thought process brought me to this, but the thought got in my head, so I figured I might as well roll with it.
So, the basic concept is this: What if, in "Otter Gone Wild", Marlene had been wild, alone with Julien, for a while longer before the Penguins came and things had gotten a bit... Far? Because we all know that's where it would'v gone eventually.
Character bio includes art, but keep in mind that I am not an artist and that my scanner is not working, so I had to take a picture of my already-flawed drawing with my webcam. Thus, the quality is pretty crap. I might try taking a picture with my camera or getting to a working scanner later, but really, the picture isn't much.
Name: Prince Joseph
Gender: Male
Species: Ottmur (Half-Otter, Half-Lemur)
Family: Marlene (mother), King Julien (father)
Background: Prince Joseph was concieved during Marlene's 'wild' spell, the child of the otter and lemur King Julien. Not too long after returning to the zoo and her tame state, Marlene realized she was with child - And whose child it was, based on what Julien had told her had happened between the two. While mother paniced, father rejoiced at finally having an heir, albeit an illegitmate one. The zoo staff had no idea how their only otter had become pregnant, and when the unique creature was finally born, he was considered to be handed over for research. However, much to both parents' relief, the zoo deicded to allow scientists to visit the zoo to study the creature, keeping him with his mother, if only because such an oddity was bound to bring in a crowd. Despite Julien's demands for custody, Marlene kept a firm hold on Prince Joseph, who would only truly live with his father on weekends.
Basic Personality: Like both of his parents, Joseph is energetic and easily-excited. He has also been fairly spoiled by his father, and so when things don't go his way, he tends to pout and sulk. He is gregarious and out-going, but not as overwhelming out-going as Julien. He doesn't tend to anger very easily, rather becoming sad in most situations where a negative response is appropriate, as illogical as it can be at times. It's not impossible to make him mad, though, and he tends to be very protective of his parents and his own status as a one-of-a-kind animal - call him a freak and you're in for it. He is a very athelic creature, swift but not particularly strong.
